As of April 23rd, there are a total of 14,694 reported COVID-19 cases in Ohio. That is a 4.1% increase from April 22nd. Total fatalities are 656 or 4.5% of identified infections.
The daily rate of increase in the recent hot spot counties of Marion and Pickaway has dropped to 1% and 0% respectively.
Analysis of infections from week to week (April 16 and April 23) shows that cases increased from 8,414 to 14,694 for a 75% increase over the seven day period. Putnam County had the highest percentage increase (1,075%), followed by Pickaway (747%), and Marion (683%).
